FAQ
Q: I'm from Israel and I'm a novice. Is your product fitting to those kind of people?
likewise can I start learn with your product or only it's for people who already know how
to beat the market? What does it mean "Raw monitor list" in your newsletter?
A: Welcome to our club. about your questions, I am glade to give you these answers as
follows.
A. Our stock picks list has 4 parts, such as:
1. long term list(Low Risk, High Returns). this list is really suitable for every level's
investor, including novices of course, if only you understand the basic fundamental
knowledge about American stock market, and be patient, remember to execute "cut and
run" rule unconditionally while the danger appears, that would be OK.)
2. Short-buy and short-sell Lists(Medium Risk, Higher Returns). These lists are suitable
for old hands generally, it needs acting smartly. For novices, they can use it to learn
and practise through paper trading first. After they have accumulated enough experiences,
they can use this kind of lists to trade in a volatile market. At that time, they will not
be novices any more, they will be old hands too.)
3. Options List(The Highest Risk, The Highest Returns). This list is suitable for
experienced and qualified investors only, NOT suitable for novices.
4. Raw Monitoring List(Higher Risk) This is not a final list, just for Watching &
Waiting for chance. Some experienced members like to screen stocks by themselves, this raw
list might help them to reduce search range and focus at a few hopeful targets, from over
10 thousand stocks in American markets.
B. Before you decide to invest in American stock market and use our services or produces,
we have some important advice and disclaimer to you.

So, every one must start from a novice, if only he/she can keeps learning and learning,
progresses a little every day, he/she will be successful, definitely!
Q: Can you give me your thought about
HOLD/SELL rating for BPP? It did not drop much but looks like laggard. ( Jan. 17,2002 )
A: First, I must declare, this letter is not a trading recommendation for you, it is just
for myself.^:^ I try my best to give you my information, and you must try your best to
make your decision.
Secondly, Let me explain what will I do when I have bought this "stupid" BPP.
When I see a signal as HOLD/SELL, I will go to http://www.irisfund.com/irisfund/faq.htm
to read the instruction. It says:
" SELL/HOLD
A. I have bought a stock, it is weak( or unstable ), waving up and down, but I am an
experienced investor, I am confident of this stock, I don't want to pay too much
commissions to my broker, I believe it will be strong. I maintain the long term target, so
I choose to hold on;
B. I am a new investor, I am a cautious person, the stock is so weak that I can not suffer
this kind of tensity, I prefer to selling than holding. So I decide to sell it;
C. This stock has risen for a long time ( or rose greatly ), but I am a greedy guy, I like
to make one more bite. Hold!
D. Oh, man, I am a coward, this returns is so satisfying for me, I can not wait to take
it. Sell!
E. My sweetheart, you know I am a playboy, you are so cold now that I am sorry (but it is
not an apology) that I have to change my heart and dump you because I found a new lover,
it is more attractive, hotter, and richer than you, so I choose it instead of you, I think
it will go up faster than you, but I am still loving you, once you show your hot activity
again, I will return to pick you up and hold you till you make a double jump;"
Focus on the "E", now BPP is in this situation, slow, cold, laggard, lazy...
According to my statistics, about 10% of chance we will encounter this kind of stupid
stocks, before we buy it, it looks attractive; after we bought it, it became a lazybone.
So, before I find another target, I will HOLD it, give it a chance one more time; but if
only I find another target which seems better, I will SELL it and buy the new one.
Actually, I have given the signal "HOLD/SELL" since January 9, and its target
date is"Jan-14-02", now, it makes me so disappointed that I have enough reasons
to sell it, but I don't have enough evidences to cancel the signal "HOLD" yet,
there is still a little hope ahead, so I will still give the signal as
"HOLD/SELL".
Q: Do you
have the results of your actual stock purchases based on your buy signal, cut and run and
target prices one year after the recommendation was made. It would be best to review those
you recommended 1 year ago.
A: You can see the results of our stock picks since 2000 on our Website: http://www.irisfund.com/IRISFUND/billboard.htm.
It is a real record although most of the picks were paper trading ( In practice of
investment, we should not disperse our capitals on too many objects, we should focus at 2
or 3 stocks; but for statistics, we need more and more samples. That is why we have so
many paper trading to do.). Since September 2001, we found it would be a better idea to
publish partly my stock picking list on Yahoo BBS, it will be more believable because more
friends outside our club can see the message's date while we are posting it publicly. We
can not change the message's date by ourselves, nobody can except Yahoo's administrator.
So it will be the best evidence to prove every stock pick we make is in real time, not
reproduction. They can inspect whether our picks can touch the target we set, and on time.
They can decide if it is worth to follow us according to our list published on forums of
Yahoo and MSN. Of course, only the paid-in formal members of IRISFUND Club can get the full and fresh list.
Q: Do you
track Canadian stocks?
A: I like to track Canadian stocks but I don't have a suitable tool to do it. Those USA
stocks which I am tracking are screened by some special tools, they are suitable for USA
stocks only. So, what a pity.
Q: We receive the buy list after market close. You
bought mid-day. We can't take your advice until the open of the following day. SNDK gaped
up 15% and we poor subscribers make nothing (flat all day). Would it not be more accurate
to report what subscribers could have made. Considering how rapidly the short term buys
can move, can you give us buy signals @ prices that we should buy at the next day, since
you see the closing price. ( Jan. 27, 2002 )
A: Take it easy, please. There is a buy ( or sell ) price range in our stock picks lists
when a signal is given. Generally it is between +5% and -5% basing on the " average
cost ". Wait if the opening price has risen up ( or dropped down ) sharply. Don't
feel too bad if we miss a chance, there must be more chances in future.
We have to emphasize again: our lists are NOT trade recommendations, it just shows what we
have done and what we will do. ( Please read our disclaimer http://www.irisfund.com/irisfund/advice.htm
)
We are not playing a trick that buy a stock during the day then it jumps highly next day.
SNDK rose up 15% after we had picked it and sent a buy signal to our members, it is not
our fault:-) How about these: LPTH, UTHR, MDRX, EMKR, RST, TORC, VTA, ARQL, VWPT... They
all rose up sharply after we had picked them during the day then gave buy signals at night
as soon as possible, and some of them dipped lower ever than when we had bought them, but
finally they hit our targets and rose up and up. Especially, we all had enough time and
space to act after their buy signals had been given. You can review their charts and our
newsletters to check whether it is true. SNDK is just a special sample, our target is not
catching this kind of " super bull ", never. 10% gains within 2 weeks will be
satisfied for us.
Buying during the day proves that we are doing it really in real-time, not making it up.
Q: If all of the stock picks are on the Yahoo Club page, what do those paid-in
members receive for the $120.00 membership fee?
A: It is impossible that I put "all" my picks on the BBS of yahoo club. yahoo's
club is just a showroom for those new friends to take trial, so I only put a few picks on
it as an advertisement. And these free picks lists are not updated every day, if some one
invest in a volatile market just follow these free lists, they could make money probably
but will miss the best points of buy and sell. Furthermore, they could not take the
profits from our short-term picks lists and call-put options lists, because when I post a
few short-term picks lists on the BBS, the actions maybe have been finished, usually, each
short-term action only lasts for about several days. But for our formal club members,
after they pay the club membership fee, they will receive our E-mail with detail last
price, last trade date, cost price, target price, cut & run price, target date, gains,
and what will I do next step, etc., EVERY WORK DAY, following the changes of market
closely!
For example, we can see a sample about the newsletter here: http://www.irisfund.com/irisfund/newssample.htm
. This form is only a illustration, not a real picks list. In the real newsletter
mailed to our formal members every work day, I will provide a extra raw picks list, some
members like to screen it by themselves.
